This year, the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) World Congress titled “ITS – Quality of Life” will focus on putting citizens first when it comes to mobility design. The event will take place in the Danish capital of Copenhagen from 17 to 21 September 2018 and will gather close to 4,000 delegates and 10,000 visitors.
The ITS Congress is the largest trade fair for experts in the field of intelligent transportation. The conference, organized by ERTICO – ITS Europe, serves as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience, networking and discussions, as well as the creation of future ideas and their development.
The Congresses provides the ideal opportunity for all stakeholders to come together, discuss and make the necessary contacts to move initiatives forward and to develop their business by exhibiting and demonstrating state of the art ITS solutions. The Congresses also showcase the latest ITS achievements from the city and region hosting the Congress, and can help increase awareness of ITS in the Host region itself.
TransformingTransport will participate in full force with several special interest sessions, technical papers and a dedicated stand at the exhibition area of the event (Level C1-046).
In particular, on the first day of the event, Monday, September 17th, the TT partner CINTRA will present a paper titled “Deployment of a big data platform for traffic control on highways“ (11:00 – 12:30, session TS04 – OPEN DATA AND INFORMATION).
The TransformingTransport achievements in the area of logistics will be presented during the Special Interest Session on ENSURING A NETWORK FOR LOGISTICS DATA EXCHANGE on Thursday 20 September, 17:15–18:45. At the same day, the VTT project partner will present its research on the "Use of Social Media and Open Data for Mobility Services in Tampere" during the Technical Session on City scale & ITS planning (Thursday 20 September, 17:15 - 18:45).
