The European Big Data Value community has been gathered on May 14th – 16th in Sofia, Bulgaria. The event was organised by the Big Data Value PPP and had a twofold objective of strengthening collaborations among community members and increasing the visibility and awareness about the PPP in East Europe in general, and Bulgaria in particular.
On the 1st day of the event, TransformingTransport in cooperation with another Horizon 2020 lighthouse project, DataBio, coordinated a session on Data Sharing, Data Set and associated Business Model. The second day session lead by TransformingTransport, the BDVA Mobility and Logistics Subgroup and the QROWD project focused on the Transport in urban scenarios issues. This session targeted at the discussion on specific technologies and innovations that transport-related projects deliver and demonstrate in their pilots/use cases, which could be of interest for other projects to share and find common paths to collaborate. Each session was followed by the interesting discussions and knowledge exchange with participants.
During the Open Day on May 16th, the agenda has combined keynotes and speeches from official Bulgarian representatives, members of the European Commission and industrial players. TransformingTransport shared its experience in the deployment of Big Data solutions in transport and logistics and provided insights on existing solutions, opportunities and challenges of the sector.
